Description: Statue of St. Angel. Archangel Michael is cut from one piece of lime tribe. Lime strain used for the statue grew on the outskirts of our town Spišské Vlachy about 200-250 years. Angel Statue Archangel Michael, the guardian is located at the entrance to the village of Black Field. It was carved on the occasion of the celebration day obce.Výška statue is 337 cm, diameter of trunk base is 120 cm and the estimated weight of the statue is about 1500 kg. Work on this project was a challenge for me, which I immediately addressed and which I really like "tackle". Work on the statue took about 12 weeks. At the bottom of the trunk is an inscription in Latin: "ARCHANGELUS MAXIMUS ET PATRONUS genius loci". The word captures the idea is inherently the highest angel among angels Archangel Michael as patron and protector.
